Maintenance

An Aircraft that can’t fly, can’t fight

With the 802U we start with an aircraft known for its durability and reliability and build a customized maintenance program that ensures mission capable rates in the high 90’s for years to come.

The 802U is driven by the legendary reliability of the Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engine, rated at 1,600 hp. The aircraft requires no hydraulic actuators, pumps or lines that can fail or catch fire, it requires no Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), and uses a simple electric starter. Panels can be removed and replaced in minutes without any special tools. Many of the airframe accessories use durable, reliable, and inexpensive automotive parts.

Air Tractor aircraft are built for rugged conditions. Maintenance is simple and minor repairs can be done in the field if necessary.

In addition to providing technical support CAV supervisors can teach your personnel how to build a long term fleet maintenance program. We leverage experience building FAA and U.S. Department of Defense compliant maintenance programs with scheduled inspections, spare parts inventory, tool control, and total life cycle management.

With a small number of CAV contractors we can teach you how to become self sufficient, so that you won’t need hundreds of high priced contract maintainers for years to come.
